WORCESTER City boss Andy Preece hailed his FA Cup stars and admits the result has still not sunk in.

"I don't think it will sink in for a while," said Preece. "It's just surreal, fantastic. But I enjoyed Saturday's victory over Hednesford more.

"It just wasn't enjoyable as there was too much at stake for everybody. People at the club have worked so hard to keep Worcester City going and they have been through the hard times.

"This is a special moment for them and we are hoping to bring some good times back. I kept on saying to the lads that there's something big waiting for us. I said this to them weeks and weeks ago.

"There's a lot of fate in life and I had a feeling this moment would come because we have been working so hard this season and nothing much has gone for us. Maybe this was meant to be.

"The lads were terrific and they deserve this moment. They have just got to enjoy it, because this does not come around so often."

Preece added: "We were the better team and we deserved to win. Their goalkeeper made a couple of great saves, but I always felt we would get that goal. I also feel gutted for Chippenham because they have worked ever so hard over the two games. They gave us two good games."
