SELFLESS striker Adam Webster is hopeful of shooting Worcester City out of trouble.

Webster celebrated collecting the Nationwide North top player award for November by scoring a crucial second-half equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Stafford Rangers on Monday.

That proved to be just his fifth league strike of the campaign, 16 short of last season's excellent tally that prompted Webster to scoop the club's end of season awards.

The 25-year-old forward is not setting any individual targets for the remainder of the 2005/06 term, insisting his personal feats play second fiddle to City's ambitions.

But Webster admits he would love nothing better than to see his name hitting the scoresheet on a more regular basis.

"I look to get on the score-sheet every game," said Webster. "It was good to score against Stafford.

"I'd not scored for about three games, so it was nice, even though it was a one-yard tap in. That's just what you need at times to get the ball rolling. I'll take those any time.

"It's best for me not to put any personal targets on myself for the rest of the season. The target is to move up the table as a club. At this moment in time, we should be looking at winning games and putting ourselves in the top-half of the table, hopefully challenging for the play-offs."

Webster added: "I'm a bit disappointed (with five goals). Looking at the position Worcester are in, you could say that if we were near the top of the league, my scoring would be different, probably 10 or 15 goals.

"If the team is struggling, it does sometimes reflect in that way. I'm always wanting to score as many goals as I can, but that's football."
