WORCESTERSHIRE Grasstrack Club hosted the most exciting day’s racing of the season so far.

Cladswell Hall Farm’s Knowle Fields, Alcester, staged the second round of the Buildbase 1,000cc sidecar, 500cc solo championship and support classes.

David Howe and Jamie Rodgers battled it out in the 500cc laydown class solo final with the former winning.

Howe, the former England speedway star, made a successful grasstrack return after several years away.

The 1,000cc sidecars provided plenty of entertainment as anticipated with top riders racing closely at break-neck speed.

Young Terri Massingham was voted rider of the day after impressing in the 250cc and 350cc classes without making a final.

There were 55 races across seven classes at the Worcestershire Winner meeting.
