STOURPORT Swifts chairman Chris Reynolds believes the big freeze is beginning to hit the club’s finances after tomorrow night’s home Zamaretto League Division One South and West clash with Frome Town was postponed.

The Walshes Meadow outfit have not played since November 23, when they lost 4-2 at North Leigh, and last turned out on their own patch on November 13.

But, with the demise of Bromsgrove Rovers, Swifts are without any match until Monday, January 3, a trip to Bishop’s Cleeve, and they do not return to Walshes Meadow until five days later when they entertain Gosport Borough.

“We still have the rates to pay on the ground and have not got any money coming into the club,” Reynolds said.

“We are not massively in debt, but this is starting to become a little worrying.”
