ST George’s suffered their first Worcester Table Tennis League Division One defeat of the season after 14 matches.

The leaders fell 6-4 to Hartlebury Wanderers with Chris Webb and Will Pritchard leading them home, despite the efforts of Michael Siket, son of the unavailable Lewis.

YMCA Falcons and St George’s Dragons produced one of the closest encounters of the season.

But, despite two wins from Ian Bell and a great comeback by Pat Murray, Falcons lost 6-4 with Steve Mills and Shafaz Ditta instrumental.

Dragons saw off Cripplegate Guild 7-3 with Geoff Woodward, backed by Ditta, returning to winning ways. Second-placed Rainbow lost 7-3 to a powerful Dukes Way Dynamos side with only two players.

Division Two title-chasers St Martins beat Manor Park Dynamos 7-3 with Dave Watton and Simon Gibson winning all their games.

Brett Brining and Peter Stevens were unbeaten for Broadheath Belters in their 8-2 win over Himbleton ‘C’.
