THE Worcester Table Tennis League aim to attract new teams and players for the new season at the beginning of October. Last year, the competition returned to three divisions after having only two for the previous four years.
The popular move gave newcomers a chance to play in the lower division which was less daunting.
The league’s annual meeting and presentation of trophies will be held tomorrow at the Alma Pub, Droitwich Road, at 7.30pm.
Anyone interested in joining the league is welcome to attend. Teams to be included in the league need to apply by the end of June.
Facilities are available for practice during the summer months with coaching if required.
Anyone interested in playing regularly in the league can attend practice sessions at the YMCA, Henwick Road, on Sundays from 7.30pm until until 9.30pm. From June 14, Tuesday nights will also be available.
