A SERIES of trials will be held by Worcester City as they seek to recruit players to their revamped youth system.

The club are looking to unearth future talent after linking up with junior outfit Nunnery Wood Colts with the ultimate aim of producing players for the first team.

Teams will be run at under 12s, 13s, 14s, 15s and 16s in the new Junior Premier League South for the 2011/12 season, while the under 18s will compete in the Midland Junior Premier League.

A City statement said: “We are keen to see local youngsters fulfil their potential and hopefully progress into the senior side in the future.”

Assessments for u12s take place on Saturday, June 11, and Sunday, June 19, from 11.30am until 1.15pm.

The u14s and 15s can try out on the same days from 9.30am until 11.15am with the u16s getting their chance from 1.30pm until 3.15pm.

Trials for u13s are on Sunday, June 19, from 11.30am to 1.15pm with the u18s on Friday, June 10, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, and Sunday, June 19, from 1.30pm to 3.15pm.

All sessions take place on the 3G pitch at the University of Worcester.
