WORCESTER Warriors will get their first taste of life back among the Aviva Premiership teams at Sale Sharks’ Edgeley Park home on Friday, July 29, when they compete in the JP Morgan Asset Management Rugby Sevens Series 2011.

Although the Sixways outfit will send an academy-focused squad to Stockport for the competition, the likes of new signing Josh Drauniniu and Jake Abbott, both former England Sevens internationals, could feature.

The 12 Premiership clubs have been split into three groups for the tournament, with the winner and runner-up of each regional event going through to a finals day at Harlequins’ Twickenham Stoop stadium on Friday, August 5.

Warriors’ return to the top-flight of English rugby will see them paired in a group with hosts Sale, Newcastle Falcons and Leicester Tigers.

There will be six games on each evening, with each match consisting of two seven-minute halves with a two-minute break, ensuring a high-energy and high-scoring game.

The action kicks-off at 7pm, finishing at 10pm and will feature live music and family entertainment.
