DEFENDER Tom Marshall wants to push for promotion with Kidderminster Harriers.

The 23-year-old has signed a one-year deal at Aggborough after being snapped up from Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Tamworth, where he was captain.

Marshall was not offered a new deal at the Lambs and Harriers manager Steve Burr did not waste any time in bringing him to the club.

The player now wants to help Kidderminster build on last season’s exploits, which saw them miss out on the play-offs by six points.

“There were six or so clubs showing an interest in me, but Steve sold the club to me and it was an easy decision,” he said.

“Harriers were unlucky not to make the play-offs last season and they had some points deducted.

“I want to be playing in the Football League and the manager has said he wants to be pushing for the play-offs.

“That’s exciting and I believe the sky’s the limit for Harriers next season.”

Meanwhile, Karl Davies has resigned from the club’s board, citing business commitments.

Davies was the representative of Kidderminster Harriers Independent Supporters Trust and played a key fund-raising role during the financial troubles earlier this year.
