WORCESTER Canoe Club teenager William Bird reached all of the ‘B’ finals at the International Ruhr-Regatta in Bochum, Germany.
The 15-year-old competed for Great Britain in a six-boy squad against under 18s from across Europe as well as South Africa and Australia.
The standard was high but Bird and one other GB racer made it through their heats and semis to all the finals.
The Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College pupil impressed on the final day, finishing second in the ‘B’ 200-metre event, fourth in the 500m and seventh in the 1,000m.
