WORCESTER Canoe Club paddlers took to the water in sweltering conditions in Hereford for a string of marathon races.
International junior William Bird recorded a first place alongside Simon Williams.
Other winners were James Abbott, Andy Nevitt, Julian Gilbert and Caitlin Andrews.
Results, K1: Division Four — Lewis Beech second; Division Six — Abbott first; Division Seven — Chris Mynette second; under 12s — Andrews first; under 10s — Aidan Williams second.
K2: Division Three — Bird and Simon Williams first; Sue Hawthorn and Dave Pedlar second; Emma Hawthorn and Jon Bird third; Division Four — Mike Hawthorn and Simon Davies second; James Parker and Chris Skellern third; Division Six — Nevitt and Gilbert first; Faye Smallman and Dave Smith second; Hannah Walker and James Kneen third.
Promotions: Abbot, Walker, Kneen and Jayne Moran to Division Five; Smallman to Division Seven.
