BRETT D’Oliveira becomes the first third generation player to make his senior debut for Worcestershire today.

The 19-year-old follows in the footsteps of his father Damian and his legendary grandfather Basil in playing for the New Road side.

The young leg-break bowler comes into the County’s Clydesdale Bank 40 team that faces Yorkshire Carnegie at Headingley this afternoon (1.45pm).

D’Oliveira, who signed his first professional contract at New Road last week, replaces slow left-arm spinner Shaaiq Choudhry.

Director of cricket Steve Rhodes has also rested West Indies pace man Kemar Roach for this Group ‘A’ dead-rubber after he stepped straight off the plane to play in last week's rain-affected LV= County Championship Division One draw at Hampshire.

Worcestershire Royals: Moeen, Kapil, Manuel, Kervezee, Cameron, Mitchell (capt), Andrew, Scott (wkt), D’Oliveira, Shantry, Harrison.
