WORCESTERSHIRE will announce their player of the year tonight.

The County hold their end-of-season awards at New Road with veteran seamer Alan Richardson likely to come away with a number of gongs.

The 36-year-old’s 73 wickets in the championship was one of the main reasons why the County secured their top-flight status.

Gareth Andrew, ranked second in the country in the Professional Cricketers’ Association’s most valuable player list, is also likely to be in contention after taking 52 wickets in the championship and scoring more than 600 runs.
