BROMSGROVE Rovers manager Rod Brown is hoping his side have not missed the boat in their FA Cup tie with Ilkeston Town.

Brown's side earned a first qualifying round replay at the Victoria Ground tonight (7.45) with a 1-1 draw against the Unibond Premier high-fliers on Saturday.

Kevin Banner scored a 49th-minute penalty for Southern League division one midlands Rovers before Justin Walker equalised for the Derbyshire side.

But Rovers missed chances to win the match and Brown is hoping that does not cost them.

He said: "Before the game we would have taken the draw but I think on the day we missed an opportunity.

"There were chances for both sides but I felt we had the best chances. On the day I think we were all a bit disappointed."

"I think it's going to be a difficult game," added Brown, who will be without midfielder Mark Taylor through injury.

"We are a difficult side to beat but they are a good side. Going forward, they are exceptionally good.

"I don't think they will find our surface as accommodating as theirs, but we always look like a team who will score goals. I will probably make a few changes to freshen it up a bit."

Rovers successfully negotiated a replay in the preliminary round, beating Eastwood 2-0 after drawing 5-5 on their travels.

Meanwhile, Evesham United will be aiming to continue their cup exploits with a trip to Redditch United's Valley Stadium in the first round of the Worcestershire Senior Cup tonight (7.45).

The Robins scored six for the second successive round as they trounced Radstock Town 6-1 in the FA Cup first qualifying round on Saturday.

Manager Paul West, looking to ring the changes with fitness in mind, will not take any chances on centre-half Steve Hands who came off with a back injury at the weekend.

Pegasus Juniors entertain Shrivenham tonight in the Hellenic League premier division (7.30).

In the West Midlands League premier division, Bewdley Town go to Shifnal Town, Bromyard Town head to Dudley Town and Wellington visit Wednesfield.
