EVESHAM United knocked out higher-ranked Redditch United to earn a date with Kidderminster Harriers in the Worcestershire Senior Cup.
The Robins triumphed 3-1 on penalties at the Valley Stadium last night with Nathan Vaughan saving three spot-kicks after the first-round match ended 2-2 following extra-time.
Anthony Robinson, a former Harriers player, gave Evesham the lead on 30 minutes but Redditch exerted plenty of pressure to equalise through Damien Whitcombe in injury-time.
The Southern League division one midlands side went back ahead in extra-time against their Nationwide North opponents with a Richard Ball penalty.
But ex-Bromsgrove Rovers defender Exodus Geohaghan levelled the scores again to take the match into spot-kicks.
Vaughan was the hero with his treble penalty save, while Evesham kept their heads to score through Ball, Liam Daly and Steve Luckett in front of 184 fans.
