STOURPORT women's firsts enjoyed an unbeaten two days, defeating Redditch 6-1 and Cannock 4-1 in friendlies.

Although they started slowly against Redditch, they went ahead on 10 minutes through Fran Moss from a short corner.

Jodie Vincent then swept in a Sophie Harries cross and added another in a goalmouth scramble with Moss adding her second in between.

Redditch capitalised on an error to pull a goal back before half-time but Stourport kept possession better in the second period.

Stourport's clinical finishing paid off as Melissa Kennedy and Kerry Walker also contributed to the scoresheet.

In the win over Cannock, they produced an improved performance with good passing and Louise Wall put them ahead.

Cannock equalised from a short corner but Stourport were not put off in the second period.

Kerry Walker, within seconds of coming off the substitutes bench, grabbed a great solo goal.

With both Lottie Yarranton and Becky Urch impressing on their firsts debuts, Vincent touched in after Emily Green's shot was stopped.

Kennedy hit the fourth goal following good work by Urch.

Stourport firsts travel to Midland Premier League side Edgbaston on Saturday (noon).

The seconds did not bode as well, losing 6-1 to hosts Olton 2B with Beth Ghalamkary scoring the only goal.

Stourport thirds secured a convincing 6-2 win over Olton thirds in a friendly.

Although the hosts began in sluggish fashion, player-of-the-match Katie Knott opened the scoring from Rosie Connolly's short corner in the opening five minutes.

They gradually took control with Alison Baron scoring from the top of the D' but Olton struck back with a goal.

Jen Moss kept the visitors out with fine saves and the Olton 'keeper also impressed before Connolly crossed for Teresa Moss to find the target.

In the second-half, Kathy Doyle added a fourth goal with a cross-shot and although Olton scored another, Knott and Baron both completed their braces.

The fourths lost 1-0 at home to Olton in a close match which saw Stourport edge possession in the first period.

But the goalkeepers were not busy apart from a one-on-one stop by Moss.

Alison Austin's cross was not converted and Olton grabbed a late winner with a crisp shot.
