WORCESTER Warriors are hopeful prop Chris Horsman will be fit to face Bath on Saturday.
Horsman was withdrawn at the 11th hour with a back strain from the team that went on to lose 25-13 to Guinness Premiership champions Sale at Sixways last Friday.
But the 29-year-old has been training with the squad this week and head coach Anthony Eddy is pleased with his progress.
"Chris Horsman is coming along well," Eddy said. "He trained yesterday and he will have another fitness test today but we hope he will get through that and be in a position where he can play on Saturday."
There may also be a place for New Zealand hooker Aleki Lutui as Warriors look to record their first Premiership success against Bath.
Lutui signed for Warriors after a spell of Super 14 rugby with Bay of Plenty. He featured in the A' side's 33-0 victory over Leeds at Sixways on Monday night.
Eddy did not rule out the possibilty of 17-stone Lutui being involved at the weekend.
"We are still finalising our team selection. Aleki played 40 minutes of an A' game on Monday and got through that very well.
"He performed extremely well so it's just a matter of looking at what our best options are in that area."
