KIDDERMINSTER Harriers will launch their 2018-19 National League North campaign with a trip to Alfreton Town.

The Reds will take on the Derbyshire side at North Street on Saturday, August 4 before welcoming AFC Telford United to Aggborough for a local derby just three days later.

Neil MacFarlane's men will also face Ashton United, Darlington and Stockport County at home and travel to Chester and Curzon Ashton in a busy August.

Boxing Day and New Year's Day will see Harriers take on newly-promoted Hereford, with the home contest coming on January 1.

Hereford will start their maiden National League North season with a home clash against Blyth Spartans on Saturday, August 4.

The opening month also sees the Bulls visit Nuneaton Borough, Curzon Ashton, Chorley and Chester while hosting Leamington and Bradford Park Avenue.

Hereford boss Pete Beadle said: “We are starting a week earlier than last year so have got two extra games so it will be a big start. “It's nice to get the first home game of the season so hopefully it will be a big crowd and a decent performance early doors.

"August is going to be tough but that's why you have pre-season to get ready for it so we can go out and perform.

"It's also nice to have a home game on Boxing Day as we have been away the last two years."
