How they rated: Harriers 4, Salford 4

Hall: Spent most of the afternoon watching on as Harriers dominated but was at fault for the second Salford goal when letting the ball squirm under him. Unlucky in the dying moment when making a fine penalty save only to see the rebound tucked away. 6.

Vaughan: All-action showing from the attack-minded right-back. Defended well and linked up with attacks too. Capped a good game with a neat finish to make it 3-0. 7.5.

Taylor: Carried the ball out of defence with great composure throughout and was always a good outlet from the back. Gave away the late penalty that saw Salford equalise but looked like he may have got some of the ball. 7.5.

Croasdale: Another fine performance from the skipper. Never stopped running and played a big hand in his side's opener too. 8.

Horsfall: Harriers' best player despite the late goals. Composed on the ball and always at the start of his side's build-up play from the back. Read play well and saw away any danger of long spells. 8.5.

Pearson: Another solid showing and defended well for the majority of the game. Hard to criticise despite the late goals going in. Formed a good partnership with Horsfall as the pair set the tempo from deep. 7.5.

Weeks: Always an option and got Harriers playing from midfield. Won the ball that set Vaughan away for his goal in the second half. 7.5.

McQuilkin: Worked hard to hassle the opposition and played a good ball over the top for Bradley's goal. On the end of a frustrated swipe by Tom Walker that should have seen the City man shown a red. 7.5.

Ironside: Held the ball up well and caused City plenty of problems throughout. Took his goal really well when curling home after working the space. 7.5.

Bradley: Another who excelled going forwards. Neat on the ball, linked play well and got on the score sheet to boot. 7.5.

Sonupe: Always lively and kept his cool to fire home the opener. Enjoyed a good spell early in the forest half but did drift out of the game before being replace by Sam Austin. 7.

Subs:

Austin: Replaced Sonupe and had one good run before Salford started their comeback. 7.

Brown: Didn't hold the ball up as well as Ironside and did squander one good chance when getting in behind the City backline. 7.

Digie: Late replacement for McQuilkin as Harriers tried to see out the game. N/A.

Unused subs: Waring, N.Vaughan.
