WORCESTER Warriors centre Max Stelling has been crowned as the Greene King IPA Championship player of the month for March.
Stelling topped the public vote after the Worcester academy graduate crossed the whitewash twice last month, against London Scottish and Plymouth Albion to take his tally to the season to 16 in all competitions.
The 21-year-old is the first Warriors player to win the award this season following nominations for Mike Williams, Sam Betty and Ryan Mills.
Stelling said: "It's nice to be recognised with a player-of-the-month nomination so to win the award is obviously a real honour.
"Dean Ryan and the coaching staff have been really supportive this season and they've given me a lot of game time, which has been brilliant for my development.
"I've been pleased with my form and, with the Championship play-offs just around the corner, it's time to really push on as we look to achieve our goal of promotion.”
Rotherham Titans' Alex Rieder was second in the public vote, while Moseley's Chris Brightwell took third.
