JACK Singleton’s stunning score against Leicester Tigers has been nominated for the 2017-18 Citizen Try of the Season award.
The 21-year-old hooker went over in the corner for Worcester Warriors’ bonus point try as they claimed their first ever victory at Welford Road, winning 31-27 in November.
It was a fine attacking move from Warriors as Chris Pennell, Bryce Heem, Ethan Waller and Alafoti Fa’osiliva combined to move the ball all the way from their own 22 to the hands of Singleton who crashed over.
Two of the eight tries nominated were also scored against Warriors with Billy Twelvetrees going over for Gloucester in September and Faf de Klerk’s touching down for Sale Sharks in March.
