JOSH Dell hit 157 not out as Midland Guildford beat Gosnells by five wickets in a Western Australia Cricket Association second-grade match.

The Worcestershire all-rounder batted at number four and struck 25 fours in his 243-ball innings.

Midland Guildford chased down a target of 311 on the second day of the match.

Dell’s side were perched uneasily on 10-2 before he added 81 with Michael Olsen (39) and 181 with Jackson Wood (92) as victory was achieved in 84.4 overs.

George Rhodes continued his fine form with the bat but Onslow lost the top-of-the-table clash with Johnsonville in the Ewen Chatfield Trophy.

The County all-rounder followed up scores of 87 and 106 by making 81 but Onslow were bowled out for 169 in reply to Johnsonville’s 249-6 in 50 overs.

Rhodes came to the wicket at number three and struck 10 boundaries in his 116-ball knock.

But after he was seventh out at 164 the innings quickly came to an end.

Rhodes earlier bowled seven overs for 36 runs and took one catch.

Charlie Morris’s team Tuggeranong Valley had to settle for a draw in their McDonald’s ACT Premier Cricket first-grade match with North Canberra Gungahlin.

Morris bowled 23 overs for 76 runs as North Canberra scored 266-4 declared on day one and Tuggeranong replied with 248-8.
