A GIRLS' football team from Worcester is looking for new players – after a successful weekend of action saw them impress in a national initiative.
Leaders at the newly-founded West Worcester Youth Lionesses football club are looking for more youngsters to join in the fun
Open to players ranging in age from five to 12, members meet from 10am to 11am each Sunday at Temple Laugherne football pitches in Lower Broadheath, Worcester.
On Sunday the under-9s team took part in the FA Girls Week Tournament in the city.
A spokesman for the club told the Worcester News: "It was a great morning of football with our new girls team who performed so well after being together for such a short time.
"We are looking to expand our girls development centre on Sunday mornings from 10am to 11am at Temple Laugherne football ground. Anyone interested, contact Simon Hill on 07973 353569."
