FORMER Worcester Warriors centre Alex Grove has joined National One outfit Birmingham Moseley.
A product of Warriors’ academy, Grove left Sixways in May after racking up 153 first-team appearances for Worcester.
The move offers Grove the chance to play regular first XV rugby and a chance to help the young players at the club.
Grove scored 29 tries for Warriors and sits joint-seventh in a list of all-time try-scorers for the club, which Miles Benjamin tops with 60.
But the former Scottish international fell down the pecking order at Warriors under then director of rugby Dean Ryan.
Grove had a short loan spell at Championship London Scottish last term.
Grove will be a vital part of Birmingham Moseley’s drive to re-join The Championship following their relegation.
Director of rugby Kevin Maggs said: “Alex brings with him an impressive level of professionalism when it comes to playing and training.
“I am sure his presence will raise the bar for the whole squad in terms of effort.
“Clearly he will have a big impact in both the team and the National One league.”
