WORCESTER Warriors star Nick Schonert has been ruled out for around six weeks with an ankle injury.
The tighthead prop limped off in the opening 13 minutes of Warriors’ 23-8 win over relegation rivals London Irish two weeks ago.
After the match, ex-boss Gary Gold said the 26-year-old had sustained a similar injury to the one which sidelined him for almost two months earlier this season.
Schonert has made four appearances since recovering from the problem, but is now set to miss all of Warriors’ games this month.
Worcester face Bath in the Aviva Premiership on Friday (7.45pm) before tackling Connacht and Brive in the European Challenge Cup.
They will then take on Exeter Chiefs and Dragons the Anglo-Welsh Cup before returning to league action on Saturday, February 10 when they visit Exeter.
