WARRIORS

8 Adams – turned provider for Humphreys’ two tries with a grubber kick and a long pass before going over himself in an impressive showing at full-back.

8 HUMPHREYS – not only did he bag a brace and set up Lewis for his score, but he also put in some crucial tackles in the second period. My man of the match.

5 Pennell – put in a strong shift at outside centre, but his yellow card for a trip and two missed kicks came back to haunt Warriors.

6 Mills – was quick to gather a loose ball and put Adams in for a try but his efforts to put Connacht under pressure did not always go to plan.

7 Hammond – pulled off a last-ditch tackle to deny Adeolukun from going over in the corner as he defended his channel superbly throughout.

7 Shillcock – returning the starting line-up, the 20-year-old managed the game well, especially in the first half, and tried to make things happen.

6 Hougaard – made numerous crunching tackles, including one which forced Farrell to spill the ball, but failed to sparkle in attack.

6 Waller – showing no signs of losing his grip on the number one shirt as he got around the park well and was steady at scrum-time.

7 Singleton – only missed his target once at the line-out in an all-around solid display from the hooker who also showed nice touches in attack.

6 Kerrod – making his third start for the club, the tighthead made his presence felt from the opening scrum as he more than held his own.

6 Barry – put a few dents in Connacht’s defence and fronted up defensively over the 80 minutes, but Warriors missed Spencer's power in the engine room.

6 Phillips – was a towering presence in the line-out which ran smoothly for Warriors and disrupted Connacht’s set-piece too but struggled to make an impression in the loose.

8 Denton – another superb all-action display from the back rower who was tenacious at the breakdown, strong in the tackle and busy around the field.

7 Lewis – as per usual the Welshman was happy to do the ugly stuff but also did well to chase down Humphreys’ kick to score.

7 van Velze – showed great athleticism to volley the ball into the path of Humphreys in the lead up to Lewis’ try and was willing to put his head where it hurts.
