WELL-travelled Warriors prospect Matt Kvesic insists he sees his future very much with Worcester.

The England under 20s ace, who has broken into Richard Hill’s first team plans this season, admits he is desperate to prove himself and earn a new deal with the club he joined aged 14.

The 18-year-old, who was born in Iserlohn, in Germany, said: “I am definitely settled here at Worcester — I am really enjoying my rugby.

“I have another year left on my contract, which will see me through to the end of next season.

“Hopefully, when we go back up to the Premiership, it will be a real tough test and I’ll be able to get a few games under my belt.

“I am looking to play as much first team rugby as possible between now and the end of this season to try and earn a new contract so that I can carve out a future here at Worcester.”

The youngster added: “My dad is in the army, so we lived in Germany for three or four years as that’s where he was based and where I was born.

“For the last couple of years, we’ve been based at the big army barracks at Tidworth in Wiltshire.

“However, I want to clear it up that I have no German relatives or descendants — I was born over there and then came to England.

“My surname, Kvesic, is Croatian and my mum’s dad is Polish, so I am a bit of a mixture — I’m a bit of everything — but I’m definitely English and love playing for my country.”
