THE WORDS "you've gone viral" can often lead to dread because the follow-up question is usually "Oh no, what have I done?".

But before the ticking clock on my five minutes of fame had started, I was looking forward to my weekend shift because I was set to cover a lot of exciting stories, events and shows.

But accidentally going viral with This Morning's Alison Hammond was definitely a curve ball I was not expecting.

I was sitting at my desk on Sunday afternoon eating a Greggs doughnut with pink icing and sprinkles and writing up a story when I realised I had gone viral for THAT Alison Hammond interview.

For context, the star was visiting Woodland View care home in Droitwich to raise money for Macmillan and I was sent there to cover the event and film a Facebook Live.

On Saturday, I met Alison Hammond at a Droitwich care home and then I had to run off to cover the Battle of Worcester's commemoration of the Battle of Powick.

After my adventures, I went back to the office to write up all of my stories - which is a standard day of my life.

But by Sunday, the 'innocent' Facebook Live, which started with four viewers, had gone completely viral and raked up to 200,000 views on TikTok.

I thought the whole thing was hilarious, I was unsure if other people would.

But it's safe to say that it was a huge sense of relief that people found it just as funny as I did.

Although, my mother is less impressed that it is a video of me laughing so much that I am unable to speak as this may become part of my professional brand.

But sometimes you just have to go with the flow when things go wrong and there is nothing funnier than laughing when you're really not supposed to.

Worcester News:

The video also featured on Greg James' morning show on BBC Radio One and I was also invited to talk about my 'moment' on BBC West Midlands radio station with Rakeem Omar.

BBC News also wrote an article called: "Droitwich reporter's 'chaotic' Alison Hammond interview goes viral."

I thought it was funny, but I'm glad to see that people are also seeing the funny side of it.
