A NEW Cocktail bar where customers get "bantered and abused" by staff is coming to a popular city-centre pub.
Mugged Off is a new cocktail bar which will be launching inside The Courtyard pub, on Nicholas Street, expected to open in February.
The venture is being brought to the city by brothers Lloyd Cox, owner of the pub, and Elliott Cox, who are holding an open audition tomorrow for interested people.
Lloyd Cox said: "We are holding an open audition tomorrow at the pub to find people that want to be involved.
"My brother has always been something of a comedian and he has moved from the Isle of Wight to help make this a reality.
"It will be a real blend of comedic skits and adlibbing with customers getting bantered and abused. We need four principal performers and general staff as well that want to be involved."

The idea to open this sort of venue came to Lloyd Cox when he owned a popular former bar in the city.
Mr Cox said: "I had this idea years ago when I owned Bar 12 in the Cornmarket and it just never materialised.
"To my horror when Karen's Diner launched and went viral I thought it was the same sort of thing I wanted to start years before, but after visiting with my brother we found it repetitive and tame.
"We wanted something a bit more for an over 18's crowd where everything within reason is on the table."
The cocktail bar is hoping to launch next month and be open for at least five days a week.

Mr Cox said: "We are hoping to open mid to late February but that obviously all depends on if we can get the right people involved.
"When we do open, it will be for around five days a week on a booking system from Wednesday to Sunday.
"About a third of the building will be used for the cocktail bar with the rest operating as a normal pub."
