SIR – I recently spent several days in Malvern with my husband and had the opportunity to read the Worcester News.
I took great exception to the letter from Jon Burgess ‘Bovine TB must be dealt with by all means’ (Worcester News, October 30).
This gentleman has the right to his own opinion but not at the expense of refrerring to well-intentioned people as “vegan jackboots” whose only aspirations are to promote healthy living without cruelty to animals.
Perhaps Mr Burgess should read what Francis of Assisi said: “If you have men who will exclude any of God’s creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men.”
