SIR – What is it about this fair city of Worcester that attracts sports coaches who talk a good game?
We have had Richard Hill [Worcester Warriors] and Carl Heeley [Worcester City Football Club], and then of course Steve Rhodes and Matt Mason [Worcestershire County Cricket Club] – the last two both basking in a comfort zone that appears to be bombproof.
Have Worcestershire given seam bowler Richard Jones his new cricket contract out of fear?
By fear, I mean, is it to stop him moving to another cub and coming back to haunt us when coached by a recognised bowling coach?
As members of the club we can all see that the lad has genuine talent which just needs fine tuning.
