SIR – Re the story about the outsourcing of city council services (Worcester News, November 30).
My question is this: How do I vote for Serco, G4S or anyone else?
And if there is no internal provision, then surely no councillors are needed.
So let’s simply disband the council.
Whitehall can dispense the contracts (and we know how effective that is having witnessed the West Coast Line debacle) and the big faceless corporations can get on with it.
Local democracy? Ah, sadly it appears it is going to be privatised alongside everything else.
