SIR – Hitherto, I have often wondered if Worcester City Council wants to discourage visitors, but after reading the views of Simon Geraghty (the council leader), I feel things could well improve.
The proposals on parking are well worth reading.
Grossly overpriced rates presently in operation are scheduled to be radically reduced all round.
Many Worcester News readers, myself included, are quick to criticise the council at times but in this instance the car parks could well encourage more trade into the town and assist residents finding it difficult to park near their homes.
Only time will tell.
