SIR – We all know where shops are located and do not require obstructive and ugly A-boards to tell us (Worcester News, February 26).
As far as I’m aware their use contravenes Section 137 of the Highways Act 1980, and as such they should therefore all be removed from the pavement.
Perhaps the answer to help businesses thrive in the city would be to reduce their rent and rates charges until there is hopefully an improvement in the economy.
