SIR – The front page headline suggesting that the Worcestershire Parkway station may be a step closer (Worcester News, February 20) soon failed to live up to expectations.
For a report in the Worcester News (February 26) indicated that cash for the project is under threat.
So joy turns to despair once more. Of course, this is nothing new.
On March 16, 2000, the Worcester News headline was ‘Parkway station comes another step nearer’.
Thirteen years later the station is still a promise to be fulfilled. Worcester and its hinterland needs this project to succeed.
I welcome the support of our local members of parliament and urge them and our local county council representatives to pursue this project with determination.
