SIR – So sorry to hear the Anchor Inn at Diglis Basin is shut, and let’s hope it’s not for too long.
The new housing developments at Diglis have been a great success, but local residents say that they could do with some more good local facilities and this pub will be missed by many.
The canal through Worcester seems so busy these days, and surely that will stimulate a new opening soon of this lovely traditional pub.
But every local business needs trade, and we should support them if we want to keep them.
