SIR – I see the Tories privatised Royal Mail on the quiet because they knew it was wrong and the people who work for the Royal Mail wouldn’t agree.

So what’s going to happen now like all the other utilities which were privatised?

The people at the top will double their salaries and have bigger pension pots and award themselves huge bonuses and the people at the bottom will hardly have a living wage.

Like the other utilities which were privatised, there will be no real investment.

It will be take, take, take and without a doubt prices will rise and the service deteriorate.

George Osborne said we are all in together.

Considering it was the Tories who created a lot of long term unemployment by closing the mines and the steelworks and not investing in shipbuilding and other manufacturing and put nothing in their place and left the people to rot.

But now you want them to pick up litter or stay in the Job Centres all day which will stop them looking for work. And, by the way, some of the people have to travel miles to get to the Job Centre. If we are all in it together will they be able to claim expenses the way Members of Parliament do?

While the unemployed are corralled in the Job Centres will they be able to have subsidised meals the way they do in the House of Lords?

They should do because those in the House of Lords get £300 a day while the unemployed get £55 a week to live on. George, is that what you call ‘all in it together’?

To me it doesn’t look right.
