SIR – Teresa May, a government minister, has just declared a crackdown on illegal immigrants using the NHS and claiming other benefits.
This is just PR.
Illegals are not likely to want to attract attention to themselves.
The real problem is the legal EU immigrants. A new report this week from the EU itself shows that there are 612,000 non active, ie unemployed, legal immigrants in the UK and this is a 42 per cent increase over the last four years.
The annual cost to the NHS alone is £1.5 billion and the strain on other resources e.g school places, is huge.
This will continue as long as we stay in the EU and allow immigrants free right of entry.
The only way out is to support UKIP and get out of the EU.
