SIR – Gas safe has suggested that something like one in a dozen gas appliances are unsafe in some way or, to put it another way, walk down any street in Worcester and you are walking past at least four or five possible gas incidents.
As if to prove the the point I encountered two incorrectly fitted cookers in one day in one street. Both could have easily killed those using them.
Someone recently suggested that a cooker or any gas appliance that is not serviced at least annually is not only wasting gas but it is slowly damaging your home and if the worst comes to the worst it could quickly kill you.
