SIR – I don’t believe these severe cuts to the bus services are really necessary.

After all, the council tax has virtually doubled in the last few years.

So the council must have more money than say, five years ago, and with all the services and staff they’ve got rid of they should have enough money to keep the buses running.

I see in my paper the council has rejected a cut in the high-fliers’ salaries.

If they insist on cuts for everyone else, why not cuts in salaries for the high-fliers?

It’s always easy to be generous with other people’s money.

If they can get away without cuts, I demand the bus services should not be cut because of the damage it will do to the people of Worcestershire.

Councillors were elected to look after all the people, not just a few high-fliers with grossly inflated salaries and pension pots.
