SIR – So David Cameron is considering banning Bulgarians and Romanians coming here in January from claiming benefits for a year.
Well what is he waiting for?
It is a step in the right direction – something which should have been in place in 2004/05.
It will put us on a collision course with Brussels – but so what?
It’s time we stood up to these people interfering in the way this country and its people wish to run it.
No one knows how many will come here once January 1 comes, but two things are sure, it will be far more than the Government wants us to believe, and it’s for sure they won’t be coming here for the weather!
They will be coming here to milk the benefits system for as much as they can get.
If it wasn’t for the prospect of such a “lavish benefits system” the only ones who would bother making the trip are those that wish to work.
It’s crazy that we should be forced by Brussels to open up our borders to benefit tourists.
