Sir - Despite a residents' campaign I was disappointed to read that the plans for 61 new homes off Newtown Road have controversially been given the go-ahead.
Is this what democracy in action is all about now, a Councillor who lives in the north of the city is allowed a casting vote that doesn't affect him? By the way, I live a couple of miles away myself so have no self interest in my comments.
It would seem that not only do we have to continually fight large developments, small green areas are also suffering due to stealth.
