Sir - Yesterday evening, while walking with a friend along Park Street in the city centre, I tripped and fell painfully onto one hip. Noticing that I was having some trouble getting to my feet (I am not a spring chicken!) a man quickly appeared from the Jehovah's Witness church opposite with a chair, so that I could sit down and recover. Another man also appeared and kindly offered me a lift, which I was very grateful for, as I was very shortly due at an important meeting in the city centre.
I would like to take this opportunity of expressing my sincere thanks to these two members of the Jehovah's Witness congregation who took the trouble to help me, a complete stranger. It's very reassuring to find that there are still genuinely kind and helpful people in this world.
