Sir - Just had the horrendous experience of trying to travel through Worcester this Sunday lunch time. It’s taken 42 minutes to travel from the bridge to the Northwick picture house.

The car’s fuel consumption increased from an average of 47 mpg to 31mpg . Who on earth schedules 2 lots of road works for a busy Sunday in the middle of July on the same route !!!!

It’s a total arrogance on the part of either the city or county council, they care nothing for the impact and cost it’s caused and does cause, to motorists who already pay way to much for using the roads.

Why can’t these operations be done when the likelihood of traffic is low i.e during the night. There seems to be no great number of houses along any of the roads affected so no problem would be caused to residents.

Think that motorists are looked upon as the great ‘Milch Cow’ for council fund gathering, it’s about time that that we get the consideration we pay for and not be treated in such an arrogant manner with the attitude of ‘complain away, you’ll get nowhere, we can do what we want.
