Sir - I have been forwarded a copy of a letter from Gary Kibblewhite published in Worcester News.

I would like to get in touch with this gentleman or ask him to forward a copy of the e-mail he received from the Royal Pigeon Racing Association concerning the stray pigeon he reported, giving the contact details of the owner of the pigeon?

The RPRA will then contact the fancier to account for his actions. Mr.Kibblewhite can contact the RPRA direct if he so wishes.

It is not true that a pigeon that fails to return home is useless. The majority of pigeon fanciers welcome news of their lost birds and will repatriate them to their lofts to recover.

The e-mail from the RPRA would have given advice on how to look after a tired racing pigeon;water is essential.food(wild bird),and rest.Very often the pigeon will then continue it's journey.

I would hope that Gary Kibblewhite will be encouraged to continue to help tired racing pigeons.

R.Harris

vice-president RPRA
