Sir - In response to the letter by Louis Stephen - Worcester Green party (17 july 2014),and would like to point out to Mr Stephen that I feel he mi unterstood what is being said here.
I have no objection to give aid, to poor country's , or indeed to places that are suffering, but i do question which countries are these?
If a country can spend multi billions on space programmes and putting rockets into space , then i feel they should their priorities right-if they have starving people ,or such living in poor conditions.
It is their duty as a country to look after their own-not this country, we have enough problems of our own .
As for Mr Stephen's view that we should increase our budget on aid to 1.0%GDP, then it is fairly understood why the Green party, will never be taken seriously.
