Sir - I think congratulations are in order - your campaign to ensure that the majority of the temporarily dispossessed market stall holders would find new homes while Angel Place is revamped has worked brilliantly!
Yesterday morning (9th) the High Street was vibrant and alive - stalls were scattered along its length and down Bank Street and there was a real buzz about the centre of town. Passers by were certainly complimentary and to be honest, I think there will be disappointment when they eventually return to Angel Place.
It shows what can be achieved with a bit of common sense, a bit of persuasion and
some imagination - where would you like to tackle next?
