Sir - Many thanks and well done to Councillor Lynn Denham and other members of 38 Degrees for raising the worrying issue of the proposed Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. 200 signatures on the streets of Worcester, in just a few hours, against this TTIP proposal, which would have adverse effects on the NHS, is a very good result and proves the strength of public concerns about this issue.

Only a UK government can impose a privatised NHS on this country. This is very worrying when you examine Tory Party ideological statements which prove they are against the NHS. Only recently the Tory Trade Minister stated that it was "not necessary” to exclude the NHS from the TTIP.

These views along with the Tories policy of creeping privatisation by the back door is very worrying. It is clear that the only way now to save the NHS is to kick out the Tories.

Anyone who is concerned about this issue and other concerns they have about the NHS should write to their MPs.

Also those concerned may be interested in seeing a film which is being shown at All Saints Parish Church, Evesham on Thursday 16th October at 7.30.

This film is entitled “Sell-Off: The Abolition of the NHS”. It has been produced by a group of doctors at their own expense. It tells the alarming story of how the Health Service, as we know it, is being quietly abolished and replaced by a system modelled on the US where profit is maximised and care reduced.

This is all very worrying and you can understand the Scots concerns about the NHS, which appeared to be one of the most discussed issues in the independence campaign.

Andrew Dyke,

Bishampton
