Sir - Since there is so little to distinguish the Conservatives, Labour, and Lib Dems on matters European, other than yet another vague promise waiting to be broken about the referendum the British people should have been given ten years ago, the three mainstream parties are beginning to panic over the recent hard won successes of UKIP.

Having failed to convince most thinking people that UKIP is a party full of "racists, nutters and fruitcakes", the Conservatives have now resorted to scaremongering, by warning if you vote UKIP, you let in Miliband.

So let's take a look at the recent by election in Heywood, a strong Labour seat, following the death of its sitting Labour MP.

UKIP came within 617 votes of taking the seat, destroying the 6,000 majority Labour had enjoyed.

So in fact, those who voted Conservative, let in Miliband! So much for the warnings of mainstream politicians.

The lesson is a simple one, and it is that if you want real change in what has been a two party game for too long, and you want a party that will care about what you think, then vote for UKIP. If you want to believe the scaremongering of politicians desperate to cling to power, then you have that choice too.
