Sir - Having just read an article about the Green party and its opposition to the proposed football stadium,I find it very difficult to understand the objection to the stadium but would welcome a swimming pool.
If you want to keep this green belt land, any proposed development would ruin this open space.
From some of the past articles I have read that the football stadium would include training pitches and facilities for the use of schools, so to say it would not be beneficial to the community looks to be inaccurate.
Iin any case both the stadium and the swimming pool would be useful and the park and ride could be added into any plan so that it wouldn't be wasted.
But this still distracts from my main point in the loss of so much open space which is most needed in a city that's ever expanding.
